Oxford Double
This is the ninth book in the Kate Ivory series.
I visited the British Museum one afternoon and
found a small exhibition of forged notes and coins. Kate
Ivory would be interested in this, I thought, so I jotted
down references and made notes. Later, I searched the Internet
and found even more detail on the subject. I started to see
what the story was about, but couldnt decide where it
should start. In the end I used my memories of a recent holiday
in France, and after that I set about massacring Kates
neighbours.
The West Lancashire Evening Gazette wrote:
with the demise of Inspector Morse, writer-turned-sleuth
Kate Ivory finally gets her chance to replace the ale-swilling
tec as academias principal fictional crimebuster.
