Oxford Remains
This is the eleventh in the Kate Ivory series.
Daisy Tompkins is fair-haired, blue-eyed
and fragile-looking. She is also a second-year student
at Bartlemas College, Oxford.
Joseph Fechan is a crotchety, over-sensitive, tactless perfectionist.
He is Daisy’s tutor, and he doesn’t think much
of her or her work.
Daisy puts in a formal complaint about
Joseph Fechan, which lands on the desk of Faith Beeton,
Dean for Women Students – and
a friend of Kate’s. Faith needs a fresh, unbiased opinion
on both Daisy and Joseph, and she appeals to Kate. Kate is
at first unwilling to help, but how could she resist getting
involved in other people’s lives?
